Fort Wayne Metals Laboratory characterizes the physical properties of their materials using several mechanical tests including tension, bending, and torsion. Each of these tests provides vital information as to how the material will perform under various conditions. (read more)
Models GT320 & GT32XX are fatigue rated, high pressure transducers with a standard accuracy of 0.25% - upgradable to 0.1% accuracy. With pressure ranges to 100,000 psi, these transducers are ideal for high cycle or ultra-high pressure applications. High level current or voltage outputs and digital outputs including CANbus, RS232 and RS485. (read more)
Shot peening is a cold working process in which the surface of a metal part is bombarded with small spherical media called shot. Each piece of shot striking the metal acts as a tiny peening hammer imparting a small indentation or dimple on the surface. In order for the dimple to be created, the surface layer of the metal must yield in tension. (read more)
Tire manufacturers & rubber companies evaluate the durability of their products with United Testing's unique systems such as the "FTF". Accomodating up to 48 samples at once, with a stroke range up to 4" and speed of 100 strokes per minute, the system generates a report and stores results in a database. All in a 24 inch square footprint (read more)
